Hi everyone,
March was a dynamic month filled with student wellbeing activities, engagement with key stakeholders and my football tournament campaign. It was a time of impactful discussions, meaningful collaborations, and student-led initiatives that strengthened our community at the University of Sunderland.

I started the month by participating in a Predictive Analytics Student Panel with the DVC for Learning and Academics, organised by Vicki. This panel provided an opportunity for 10 students to voice concerns regarding their courses and explore how predictive analytics could be used to support them.
A key discussion revolved around whether students should have access to engagement data from the predictive analytics dashboard. While some students found it helpful for tracking progress, others worried it might cause unnecessary stress. The session was successful in fostering an open conversation between students and senior university leaders, allowing for a balanced perspective on how such data should be utilised.
