Hi everyone,
April was a month of meaningful engagement, advocacy, and student empowerment. I kicked off the month at the University of Sunderland London Campus, celebrating the student election results and connecting with students in our new HX5 building.

Back in Sunderland, I delivered on one of my core wellbeing initiatives, Mental Health First Aid Training with 12 students participating in the two-and-a-half-day workshop led by Washington Minds. It was an enriching experience and a step forward in creating a more supportive student environment..
Mid-month, I travelled to Westminster for an APPG meeting organised by the NUS, advocating for a more progressive student loan repayment system. I also introduced my personal campaign for monthly student maintenance loan payments, which was well received by policy expert and researcher, Dr. Rebecca Montacute from the Sutton Trust.
